Consistent with the program authority provided by Division B of the Bipartisan Safer
Communities Act, Byrne SCIP funds will be “…awarded pursuant to the formula
allocation (adjusted in proportion to the relative amounts statutorily designated therefor)
that was used in the fiscal year prior to the year for which funds are provided for the
Edward Byrne Memorial Justice Assistance Grant Program….” Therefore, allocations for
FY 2022 – 2023 Byrne SCIP are based on the FY 2021 and FY 2022 Edward Byrne
Memorial Justice Assistance Grant (JAG) Program. The allocations by state for FY 2022
