The Office of Revenue Legal Counsel

The Office of Revenue Legal Counsel represents the Department of Revenue in all administrative appeals, state and federal court proceedings, and appellate matters involving tax. The Office of Revenue Legal Counsel also provides legal advice to the Secretary and the Commissioner of Revenue on tax policy and legislation.
