Excise Tax Administration

The duties of the Office of Excise Tax Administration include providing Arkansas taxpayers with courteous and professional assistance in order to comply with Arkansas Excise Tax law. The Office of Excise Tax Administration consists of five sections: Excise Tax Administration, Sales and Use Tax, Motor Fuel Tax, Miscellaneous Tax, and Special Refunds – Tax Credits and Business Incentive Programs. Each section is responsible for providing all taxpayers with legal, technical, and educational information. The office is responsible for providing all applications, forms and tax reports required to administer proper and accurate tax collection. The Administrator’s Office is responsible for issuing Certificates of Tax Standing.
